Description
Sketchbook Manuscript «Azariyeva 2019 Plus» from the series «Ukrainian Art»
The first mass-produced open-bound sketchbooks. The cover is featured with Ukrainian illustrator Nadezhda Azariyeva’s drawing.
No one can tell about their work better than the author herself. Here is what she says about her illustration:
“My name is Nadya Azariyeva, and I am a watercolor artist. I live and work in Kyiv. Before becoming an artist, I worked as a general purchase manager for clothing and accessories stores. When I wanted a child, I realized that it would be difficult to combine caring for a child with such a job and I left my job.”
I started painting with watercolors on maternity leave. I had never painted before. Perhaps after the birth of my first child, the artist’s grandfather’s genes woke up in me. He painted in oils and studied it on his own. At that moment, I had a desire to find some kind of hobby, something to create beauty by myself, but to do it so that I like it. Watercolor was the first to come to mind because of its transparency, light, brightness, and airiness. And flowers are another passion of mine! I always collect the bouquets myself, which I then give to people.
As a result, 90% of my work is watercolor illustrations of flowers. It seems that floral watercolours are so beautiful that they may strongly inspire any person to create something beautiful and unique!
Creamy unlined pages are great for liners, pencils, and pens. Sketchbooks open ideally 180 degrees and do not close randomly, thanks to the open-bounding. High-quality stitching and gluing allow you to withstand loads, and a protective overlay on the cover will extend the life of your sketchbook. The set includes an inlay with a checkered and in-line ruler for ease of writing, making graphs, tables, accurate models, etc.
Manuscript sketchbooks serve as an excellent working tool for artists, designers, IT specialists, managers and a fashion accessory to inspire creative exploits.
