Sketchbook Manuscript «Black Plus» from the series «Basicism»
The first mass-produced open-bound sketchbooks. The cover is made of thick black specially designed cardboard.
Black has always been a special color in the world of fine arts. Working in the concept of Suprematism, a movement created to tear painting away from the real world and move into the plane of colors and shapes, Kazimir Malevich defined two minimum possible conditions – the form of a square and a color that does not contain anything – black. Many people ask: “What is art itself”? Malevich and other Suprematists of that time believed that a painting does not have to contain and imitate natural objects and landscapes. If you gradually simplify the laws of reality, then sooner or later, everything will pass into the category of primitive shapes and colors. In this sketchbook, the black and rectangular shape is a direct reference to the avant-garde movement of 1915.
Creamy unlined pages are great for liners, pencils, and pens. Sketchbooks open ideally 180 degrees and do not close randomly thanks to the open-bounding. High-quality stitching and gluing allow you to withstand loads, and a protective overlay on the cover will extend the life of your sketchbook. The set includes an inlay with a checkered and in-line ruler for ease of writing, making graphs, tables, accurate models, etc.
Manuscript sketchbooks serve as an excellent working tool for artists, designers, IT specialists, managers, and a fashion accessory to inspire creative exploits.
