Sketchbook Manuscript «Plastilina 2019 Plus» from the series «Ukrainian Art»
The first mass-produced open-bound sketchbooks. The illustration on the cover was created by Alina Plastinina, a talented artist from Ukraine.
No one can tell about her work better than the author herself. Here is what Alina says about her illustration:
The “Pelicans” pattern or its official name “No plastic” is the first of four works designed specifically for the Ukrainian brand’s clothing collection. The main goal of the collection was to draw the attention of humanity to the global problems of our planet. After all, our planet is a truly magical place that is on the brink of disaster.
The choice of character for the “Pelicans” pattern was deliberate. Since childhood, I have admired this big strange bird. I like these funny giants. Did you know that this is the heaviest of all flying birds? The pelican’s beak is so big that it can hold three buckets of fish! Pelicans inhabit all continents except Antarctica. Gray and curly pelicans are listed in the Red Book! Coming up with prints, I talked about how exactly to draw these drawings without violence and blood, which are already enough. Each of the drawings is a peaceful analogy to the state of affairs today. Where a pelican has fish for lunch and a clear sea, and not plastic in its stomach, where a deer has its forest-house, and not hemp from familiar trees, and finally, where wild animals are not a toy for people behind an iron grate.
I dream of the day when people will realize that they need to start with themselves: sort garbage, protect nature, not encourage violence against animals and be more human!
Creamy unlined pages are great for liners, pencils, and pens. Sketchbooks open ideally 180 degrees and do not close randomly thanks to the open-bounding. High-quality stitching and gluing allow you to withstand loads, and a protective overlay on the cover will extend the life of your sketchbook. The set includes an inlay with a checkered and in-line ruler for ease of writing, making graphs, tables, accurate models, etc.
Manuscript sketchbooks serve as an excellent working tool for artists, designers, IT specialists, managers, and a fashion accessory to inspire creative exploits.
