Description
Sketchbook Manuscript «Piven 2015» from the «Ukrainian Art» series
The first sketchbook in Ukraine with an open binding. On the cover is the painting «Dance» by Ukrainian artist Volodymyr Pyvnen.
We live in a time when modern art is considered synonymous with something strange and incomprehensible. Something that can be understood only by studying the author’s life, as well as their habits and favorite topics in pop culture. Something where you must know the social agenda of a particular region. Something that may not evoke deep emotions, but requires respect for the topic the author has raised.
The philosophy of Volodymyr Pyvnen is opposite to what is described above. Real art shouldn’t be a confusing riddle. «Sincerity», «convincingness», «positive energy» are exactly the words Volodymyr Pyvnen uses to describe his work. In order to admire the beauty of nature, you don’t need to study its structure. Likewise, art should bring positive emotions, inspire and amaze with its beauty at first glance—without reading a curator’s note on the wall.
Volodymyr took a long creative path—from an industrial design artist through detailed and realistic portraits and landscapes to bold expressionism. But to be captivated by the beauty of the painting «Dance,» we don’t necessarily have to know the author’s biography—about his love of birds that began after visiting the UK, or that for Volodymyr these feathered creatures are a symbol of a spiritual impulse and moving forward. To feel joy and warm feelings, it’s enough to simply look at it.
80 cream unlined pages are perfect for liners, pencils, and pens. Sketchbooks open perfectly flat at 180 degrees and do not close on their own thanks to the open binding. High-quality stitching and gluing allow withstanding even extreme loads, and the protective cover coating will extend the service life of your sketchbook. The set includes an insert with grid and line ruling for comfortable writing and drawing graphs, tables, accurate sketches, etc.
Manuscript sketchbooks serve as both an excellent working tool for artists, designers, programmers, and managers, and a fashionable accessory that can inspire creative feats.
