Description

Manuscript sketchbook «Bruegel 1620» from the «Tenderness» series

The first in Ukraine sketchbook with an open binding. The cover features the painting “Flowers In A Vase”, by a representative of the legendary Dutch Bruegel dynasty — Jan Brueghel the Elder.

With a father, a well-known artist Pieter Bruegel the Elder, and a mother Maria Cooke van Aelst, the daughter of the famous Flemish illustrator Pieter Coecke van Aelst, the fate of their son was predetermined.

During his long creative life, Jan received many nicknames. “Velvety” he was called for his delightful ability to convey the texture of fabric in his paintings. Flower-like” for his frequent use of floral motifs in his paintings, and “heavenly” for the type of “heavenly landscape” he invented. Jan was a versatile artist. Working in many genres, he achieved recognition in each of them. His friendship and creative collaborations with another great artist — Rubens — are widely known. The influence of the latter on Jan’s work is clearly traceable in the restrained and muted color palette of his paintings.

80 cream unlined pages are perfect for liners, pencils, and pens. The Manuscript sketchbooks open perfectly flat to 180 degrees and do not close on their own thanks to the open binding. High-quality stitching and gluing allow you to withstand even extreme loads, and the protective cover coating will extend the service life of your sketchbook. The set includes an insert with grid and ruled lines for удобства writing and building graphs, tables, precise drawings, etc.
